Crystal Reports versions that match Visual Studio.Net Frameworks. |
Here is the
Offical diagram from SAP of what versions of Visual Studio support which
version of Crystal Reports. Prior to this Visual Basic 6 was the
development environment of choice. You installed VB6 and that
included Crystal Reports 4.5. You could then upgrade that to
Crystal Reports 5, 6, 7, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.2, 10 or XI. The original Visual Studio.Net arrived in 2002 and supported upgrades to Crystal Reports 9, 9.2, 10, and XI. To work with Crystal Reports XI/R2 you needed Visual Studio 2005. If you want to develop with the Crystal Reports 2008 run time objects you need Visual Studio 2008. To Work with Visual Studio 2010 you need the Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010. Dont' worry about the apparent gap in Frameworks. There is a .Net Framework v3.0, but it is really the same objects and methods as v2.0 plus the WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). There were no changes to the original objects, just a bunch of new ones. |
